SPONSOR A FAMILY PROGRAM
By participating in the
"Sponsor A Family" Program, you will have the opportunity to provide a
very special, individual, and more personal (one on one) approach to the support
that many of you already offer through our support group. We have new families
joining us daily, so we really need everyone's help to continue the success of
this program so all families may benefit from this special support and care.
***Please do not ask or agree to become a sponsor unless you know that you have the time to give this family***
The following is a description
of how the program works and what your participation will involve:
-
When new families join or
contact CAPPS (with a possible or recent diagnosis and/or preparing for
surgery) we request some basic information. This info consists of...
name, child's name/age/type of CS, location, surgery date (if known), email
address. They email this information to us so we can set them up with a sponsor.
-
Anyone
can sponsor a family. Some choose to sponsor families in their general
location, or with the same type of CS, or by same type of surgery.
However, there are NO restrictions
-
When
you request to sponsor a family, a notification will be sent, via email to inform that family of your
sponsorship. You will also be sent a notification to confirm your request.
Both notifications will include the email address and/or phone number (with
consent) for the other family/member.
