Question questions about behavioral depelopment

I was just curios. My son had surgery at 8 mos old. A CVA. It's been a while since I've been on here. Tried to put the whole thing in the back of my mind. He is fine, physically, BUT, my question is, does anyone think this affects them mentally? He is almost three now. His behavior has gotten worse over time. He speaks alright, smart kid overall, but he is the most demanding, mad kid I've ever seen. I know no other 2 year old like this. Constantly all over me literally every five minutes for food, or something else. Never happy with anything he does. Particular with certain things. Only wants one pair of shoes. will NOT wear anything else. If i give him chapstick to put on, and i take the cap off first, he gets very mad, yells at me to give him the cap, has to put it back ON before he takes it off again, then he can put the chapstick on and give it back to me. Certain things like that, but it's CONSTANT. Never satisfied with anything he does or has. He whines and cry's all day. He can speak fine, but he lets out this wah, wah, wah and points to things and will not tell me what he wants. is it laziness? It makes it so you cannot go anywhere with him, he is beginning to be un-enjoyable to be around. I could give a thousand examples, but I'd be here all day. Does ANYONE notice behavior differences?? Please. I'm going to take him back to the doctor AGAIN and tell them this AGAIN, but everyone wants to tell me it's perfectly normal. Me and my husband almost think it's to squelch some sort of pain, or uncomfortableness. I'd be perfectly happy with a non-diagnosis. But I at least need to know where to go and what to do. MRI's, CT Scans, Brain scans?????? I can't handle it anymore.

Have you talked to your pediatrician about any of this. I will say my little guy (who is 2) does some of the things that you mentioned, he wants to be in control of his chapstick, will only wear his navy blue crocs (if I suggest somthing else he freaks), he has to be involved in some aspect of making dinner, and at his well check our ped said to us we have a very confident and independent 2 year old.
If you have concerns talk to your ped. Sorry I can't be of more help.

my sons almost the same on some things also. very independent. doesn't want alot of help with the chapstick or shoes. he gets mad if i don't let him help do everything. he gets anoyed really quick if he cant put things together fast enough or correctly. he demands things all the time and although he speaks very well he will start with mine mine mine then i have to say i know its yours but what is it. then he will explain better. he has this hat he loves to wear all the time. if he cant find it i am looking like crazy for it just cause he loves it. he has to have it also he has to have his sun classes in the car. if he drops it i have to pull over and get it or i will go nuts.lol so somethings are normal but you would know if it was something to be more concerned with. good luck.

I know this post is old, but I'm wondering if you ever found out anything about your son. Our daughter was just diagnosed as having her left coronal and metopic suture fused. We are meeting with the neurosurgeon this coming week, so we really don't know much yet, but this is one of my biggest fears!
