Unhappy could this mean another surgery??

hello. my daughter laila is now 4 moths post op. everything has been great exept now we think we see the dent on the right side of her forehead coming back. she had right cornal and the orbit surgery. i feel like i see her eyebrow arching up again and her eye is getting a little biger. not as much as before the surgery but its just not as perfect as it was right after surgery. can this mean another surgery? can the dent actually really come back? what does that mean internally? anyone had this prolem too? please help!!!

Hi

Sorry to hear that you are having worries so soon pre-op. We didn't have anything like that with Jayanthi, but I do know that their head changes so much in those months after the CVR. Our PS said that they "overcorrect" them so that they will have room to grow into the correction. J has such a lumpy head as it is, as well. I guess I wouldn't worry too much, but it may not hurt to give your PS a call and see if you could possibly be seen or maybe just talk to the nurse. She may ease your worries,as well. Was your daughter diagnosed with any sort of a syndrome? Only reason I ask is because I really don't think it is possible for the suture to close again so soon after surgery, unless there is a syndrome involved. I guess some syndromes have the brain keep telling the skull to fuse when it shouldn't. I hope that it all turns out to be nothing. I have truly become a "head picker' after this experience. LOL

Our daughter had the same at 6 and a half months, she has "regressed" a little but they did a CT and said eveything looks fine from the inside. Riah is now almost 3 years old and doing great, we were told to expect the lumps and bumps along the way.
