Donations for Capps Kids

I am thinking of having a charity birthday party for my son's first birthday (to celebrate getting through surgery and recovering.) He is my 3rd and doesn't need anything so I was hoping to find a related charity that people could bring gift for instead of more toys. I know other people who have done things like "brings supplies for pregnancy care centers" or "book donations," but I'd really like to support a cranio-related charity if possible. I have some time to decide because his b-day is in October, but I thought I'd start brainstorming now. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Would donation just be monetary in form? How would the donations be used (money or other)? I'd like to know all the info about how the CAPPS foundation could use the money to explain the benefits to my guests. It sound very fitting to donate to CAPPS, however, I think I might get more responce if items could be bought and donated. I am open minded though, and just want to help others who are also dealing with the same issues. Thanks!
