My now 15 month old son had surgery to correct saggital synostosis 9-11-09 when he was 4 1/2 months old and did beautifully. They removed approximately a 1x4 inch piece of skull. At his 6 month follow-up his surgeon declared him to be just fine and well-healed. Now, as of his last well child check-up, his head circumference is measuring in the 99th percentile and his head is looking elongated again. I'm wondering if anyone else has had to endure a rapid healing or bone regrowth that has led to a second surgery being necessary. Attachment: 100_2080.jpg This has been downloaded 12 time(s).
