CAPPSKIDS Online Consultation and Second Opinion Program

Confused about surgical options? Confused about your child’s diagnosis? Looking to travel for a consultation at a Craniofacial Center that is quite a distance from home?

CAPPSKIDS can help! We can help securely and privately share your DICOM wrapped CT or MRI files with a surgeon of your choice. Just email secondopinion@cappskids.org and you will receive an upload link to securely upload your images, along with our second opinion enrollment packet.

Please remember that a second opinion based only on images and medical records is limited to what is contained in those files which you provide. It cannot replace an in-person medical evaluation from surgeon. As a result, the surgeon providing this service will not have the benefit of information obtained by examining your child and your child’s physical condition. Therefore, the physician may not be aware of facts or information which would affect the surgeon’s opinion of your child’s diagnosis and treatment options. We strongly encourage you to discuss the second opinion with your primary care physician.

If you would prefer to make an in-person appointment with one of the cappskids.org surgeons in our network for a second opinion, please select “request consultation” on that surgeon’s profile page or call the number on that profile.

To receive a remote Second Opinion, you must send an email to Secondopinion@cappskids.org for our HIPPA compliant and secure upload link.

Request the upload link for the second opinion portal by emailing secondopinion@cappskids.org
